Patience is rewarded

When there's quite a crowd or queue for food, you just have to wait your turn to help yourself. Here a blue tit waits for the foraging log below to become a little more spacious before he helps himself to whatever he fancies. He must work hard to provide for his family, and keep a look out for predators such as sparrow hawks who would make a meal of him given the chance!
