Although Britain has no large predators to control the deer population, these creatures continue to remain on alert for any potential threat, mostly human beings. When in need of a speedy getaway, they can jump 7 feet high and are known to be excellent swimmers of the need arises. Their sharp eyesight allows them to detect predators and navigate their environment with no difficulty.
